Sometimes, space to think can be all that we need.

Leading an HR function is a rewarding but challenging path. Every day we can be faced with fresh challenges – sometimes, space to think can be all we need.

But how can we create this space? Action Learning.

Action Learning is a great way of solving your most complex and difficult leadership problems. It is a powerful learning environment where like-minded peers can get together and learn through interaction with each other. It is an ideal forum for reflecting and acting on issues, in a challenging yet supportive atmosphere for learning and development.

While other Action Learning groups exist, Tap’d have partnered with leading Organisational Leadership Psychologist and Executive Coach, Katherine Powell, to develop an Action Learning programme which is designed specifically for female HR and People Directors.

Our programme brings together small groups of female HR directors to attack the everyday problems of concern to group members.

How does it work?

  • Typically, a group of 6-7 HR Directors will meet regularly throughout the year.
  • Meetings are facilitated by an independent facilitator, who is an expert in the process of Action Learning.
  • Real life challenges are discussed and questioned in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality and, at the end of each session, group members each make a commitment to a set of positive actions before the group next meets.
  • Sessions can include extra insight from an outside expert on a topical issue facing the wider HR landscape.

How much does it cost?

£500 per full-day session every 12 weeks, initially for an 18 month period.

Please note: To allow for high trust within the group, participants must commit to attending each session.
